ACE Refrigeration is investing in the next generation of industry talent.

Four young engineers will shortly be undertaking courses in Air Conditioning and Refrigeration at Glasgow Kelvin College.

Two of these trainees originally joined ACE on work experience from Action for Children.

ACE has worked with Action for Children for a number of years now; aiming to provide potential opportunities with young people in the east end of Glasgow to identify and overcome barriers in their lives.

This is the second time we have participated in the Youthbuild programme which is aimed at getting disadvantaged young people aged 16–19 jobs within the Construction Industry.

As a result, Jason Scott and Chloe McAllister have earned permanent opportunities with the company and will now join ACE colleagues Alex Bird and Kane McLaughlin in further education.

As well as on the job training, the college course will also be complemented with internal training via a monthly in-house night school.
